Artists from the city of Chimoio presented, this Saturday, at Montalto cinema, in that city, the Anthem of the Municipal Council of Chimoio, on the occasion of the celebrations of the city’s fifty-two years. These are the artists Sandey, Mapingue, First London, Odério de Castro and Marcela who accepted the mayor’s proposal to produce what will be the municipality’s musical identity. Speaking to Rádio Moçambique, Sandey, one of the participants in the composition of the anthem, said which was an unusual and unique experience to be part of that project. The artist Mapingue, who produced the anthem for the last edition of the national festival of school games Manica 2019, was happy to have once again been chosen to be part of an equal project .In addition to the official presentation of the municipal anthem, the celebrations of the fifty-two years of Chimoio’s elevation to the category of city were also marked by a live concert and fashion show.
