Voucher Examiner/Alternate Cashier

Description

• The U.S. Mission in Maputo/Mozambique is seeking for eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Voucher Examiner/Alternate Cashier

Duties

• Under the supervision of the Supervisory Voucher Examiner, the incumbent examines regular to complex vouchers for State Program, Public Diplomacy (PD), Consular, International Cooperative Administrative Support Services (ICASS), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), International Law Enforcement Academies (ILEAs), Foreign Commerce Service (FCS), Department Of Defense (DOD), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), DOD-PEPFAR, and Diplomatic Security (Local Guard Program, Marine Security Guard, Surveillance Detection Team, WSU-Program)
• Complex vouchering types include short-term leased properties and utility bills, which requires the maintenance of supporting spreadsheets, and transportation billings that must be reconciled with shipping contracts
• Ensures that the processing of vouchers is in accordance with Prompt Pay Act, Federal Appropriations Law, Department of State and serviced agency regulations, post policy and AF Bureau directives
• Serves as an Alternate Class-B cashier in a highly complex cashiering operation. While serving as the Alternate Cashier, the incumbent is responsible and accountable for the control and safekeeping of the regular cash advance of $40,000 received from the USDO, FSC Charleston
• Collects funds/payments from sub-cashiers, employees, government agencies, and individuals indebted to the US Government and prepares general receipts. Reconciles the accountability daily. Processes Vouchers for payment of goods and services
