Trinta postos de combustíveis serão implantados neste quinquénio
O Governo irá investir 900 milhões de meticais na construção de 30 postos de abastecimento de combustíveis nas regiões norte, centro e sul do país, no presente quinquénio, disse o presidente do conselho de administração do Fundo Nacional de Energia (Funae).
António Saide avançou o facto na última segunda-feira, à margem da inauguração do posto de abastecimento de combustíveis do posto administrativo de Chalaua, no distrito de Moma, na província de Nampula, acto que se insere nas acções programadas para os primeiros cem dias do actual ciclo de governação.
Segundo a fonte, a materialização do projecto estará sob a responsabilidade do Funae, braço do Ministério dos Recursos Minerais e Energia que promove o acesso aos combustíveis e energia eléctrica junto das populações que vivem em zonas recônditas.
António Saide referiu que a construção dos postos de abastecimento enquadra-se no projecto da sua expansão, ao abrigo do incentivo geográfico.
Incentivo geográfico é uma linha orçamental criada pelo governo por Decreto em 2008, visando elevar o acesso aos combustíveis líquidos pelas populações que vivem nas zonas rurais.
“O incentivo geográfico prevê a expansão do acesso, devendo assegurar o fornecimento com segurança e qualidade nas zonas rurais, onde vive 67 por cento da população e o Funae é o braço do Governo que deve levar os combustíveis onde outros operadores ainda não chegam”, disse Saide.
De acordo com a fonte, a construção dos postos de abastecimento de combustíveis é com recurso a receitas consignadas, estando previstas para 2020 seis áreas, nomeadamente Mecuburi e Meconta (Nampula), Metuge (Cabo Delgado), Alto-Molocue (Zambézia), Mapai (Gaza) e Vilanculos (Inhambane).
Desde a instituição do incentivo geográfico, foram construídos 96 postos de abastecimento de combustíveis no país, sendo que Nampula é a província que conta com 15 unidades. Zambézia, a segunda província mais populosa do país e conta com 14 pontos de abastecimento e Niassa, a província mais extensa, com 11. A província de Maputo tem apenas 3.
Em Chalaua e Namaponda, dois postos administrativos da província de Nampula, foram inaugurados esta semana igual número de postos de abastecimento de combustíveis líquidos pelo secretário de estado, Mety Gondola, que enalteceu o papel do governo.
“É de louvar este acto, o Governo irá continuar a trabalhar para promover o bem-estar das populações, levando este e outros serviços essenciais para as zonas rurais”, disse Mety Gondola.
As duas unidades esta semana inauguradas irão beneficiar aproximadamente 40 mil pessoas, entre membros da comunidade, operadores dos transportes de carga e de passageiros, entre outros.
Para além do abastecimento em combustíveis líquidos, os dois postos irão prover água potável às populações circunvizinhas a custo zero. (RM)
