The Government also approved the decree that reviews the regulations of the Deposit Guarantee Fund, an instrument approved by Decree no. 49/2010, of 11 November. The review aims to adapt the rules that regulate the functioning of the Deposit Guarantee Fund, within the scope of the management of the Deposit Guarantee System, applicable to credit institutions that capture deposits from the public, natural persons and collectives, who hold deposits made with credit institutions, with a view to creating a new dynamic, as well as aligning them with good international practices and also introducing the aspect of financing resolution measures.
