To open this season’s exhibition cycle, Ilídio Candja, a Mozambican visual artist based in Portugal, was invited to propose the solo show “Magnificiência, Luz e Fusão II”, curated by Titos Pelembe. The exhibition celebrates the artist’s visit to his homeland, representing a special moment of (re)encounter and sharing his professional journey since his voluntary emigration to Portugal in 2006. Candja Candja invites everyone to explore the past through a contemporary lens, addressing the experiences of mother Africa, including Mozambique and its diaspora.
