The Portuguese Cultural Center in Maputo will be, at 2:30 pm this Friday, the stage for the Grand Final of the 21st edition of the Camões Eloquence Award. This year, the Camões Eloquence Award attracted the participation of 47 students from different universities and courses. After a rigorous evaluation of the submitted texts, based on argumentative and rhetorical originality, the jury selected the 10 finalists who are now preparing for the Grand Final. Between the 29th of April and the 2nd and this Thursday, the finalists will have the opportunity to participate in an Orality Workshop, under the guidance of renowned actress Ana Magaia. The workshop will focus on improving oral communication techniques, preparing competitors to present their speeches to the jury. The jury, composed of actress Ana Magaia, by university professor Paula Cruz and Camões Reader at the Pedagogical University of Maputo, José António Marques, will be responsible for evaluating the argumentative and rhetorical capacity of the 10 finalists and deciding who will be the winner of the 21st edition of the Camões Eloquence Prize .The Camões Eloquence Award is a joint initiative of Camões – Centro Cultural Português in Maputo, the Faculty of Language Sciences, Communication and Arts of the Pedagogical University of Maputo and the Portuguese Language Center – Camões, located at the university.
