This is Law no. 8/2013, of 27 February, amended and republished by Law no. 2/2019, of 31 May, which establishes the legal framework for the election of the President of the Republic and the deputies of the Assembly of the Republic. It is also intended to review Law no. 3/2019, of 31 May, which establishes the legal framework for the election of members of the provincial Assembly and the provincial governor and Law no. 4/2019, of 31 May, which establishes the principles, organizational standards, powers and functioning of the Executive Bodies of Provincial Decentralized Governance. In effect, the Frelimo parliamentary bench states that it supports the review of this legal instrument as long as it does not violate the Constitution of Republic and guarantee the transparency of the electoral process.
