Safety Program Coordinator (m/f)

Description

• The U.S. Mission in Maputo/Mozambique is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Safety Program Coordinator

Duties

• Under the direct supervision of the Facility Manager, the Safety Program Coordinator provides professional expertise and guidance relating to site safety and health issues during all phases of construction, commissioning, and after acceptance of Post projects, equipment, and properties to include the NEC, Warehouse, ICASS Housing Pool Residences, CMR and DCMR
• The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. Department of State as well as host country construction safety and health regulations
• The incumbent coordinates SHEM services between the Facility Maintenance Section and other sections as needed, provides technical and administrative assistance to the Facility Manager. Incumbent serves as the Safety Program Coordinator with responsibility for assisting the Post Occupational Safety and Health Officer (POSHO) in carrying out the day-to-day functions of the Safety, Health, and Environmental Management (SHEM) and Fire Protection Division (FIR) programs at post as required by 15 FAM 900 and 15 FAM 800
