Thus, one third of the population already consumes energy, and the goal is for all Mozambicans to have electricity in their homes by 2030. According to the Head of State, the arrival of energy to this region of the Muanza district will bring substantial improvements to the population’s quality of life, with emphasis on the increase in business opportunities. In order for energy to reach consumers in good quality, the President of the Republic called for rational use and due payment of consumption fees. The work to electrify the electricity grid in that part of the country cost the state coffers around 76 million meticais and lasted 14 months.
